Insurance and healthcare have been in the news quite a bit in the past few years. As high deductible plans seem to be on the rise, more and more people are using a Health Savings Account to pay for their out of pocket healthcare expenses.
There are a few main differences between a Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Flex Spendings Account (FSA.) Either can be used to pay for qualified expenses, such as co-pays, deductibles, prescriptions, chiropractic care and massage.
Typically with a HSA or FSA, you are given a debit card that is linked to those funds and when you pay for services here, you can use that debit card. There is typically no additional paperwork required, but if your HSA or FSA provider does require any additional documentation, we are happy to provide it.
